Trixie and the Dragon

Friends,

Several of you have button-holed me and demanded the rest of Dora's story. Dora as you've seen, is a good soul. An explorer through and through, she lives for the hunt, not wealth.

Trixie Urquhart, on the other hand is far more interesting.

When last seen in the desert with Dora, Woody, and Jungle Boy, Trixie had just kissed the talking lizard, who materialized into Bruno the Bruiser. Bruno did indeed grab the two mercenaries and remove them, stage left.

All should have been well. The diamond reached the Museum in New York amid much public fanfare. Sebastian Hawke, Trixie's husband, came down the steps to congratulate Dora. Big triumph.

Others in New York noted Hawke's smile appeared pinched as he accepted the diamond for the Museum. As upright citizens of iniquity, they pounced on Hawke's financial house of cards. Big stink. The museum caught fire (how, we'll never know - come on, what does it take to make marble burn), and the diamond disappeared.

So, too did Sebastian Hawke disappear.

High and dry, suddenly without funds, Trixie set off on her blue motorscooter again to find fame and fortune. Instead she found a playful, snarfing dragon. Playful... or is he toying with his next meal?
Trixie encounters a needy dragon...
